The Great Pumpkin

In the quaint little town of Barnesville, Ohio, there is an annual festival honoring the pumpkin.  It's a lot of fun, and you should check it out next year.  The mid-day parade doubt set some kind of world record, lasting for over 2 hours!  Here are a few shots my girlfriend took yesterday during the festival...

The winning pumpkin weighed in at 1500.5 Lbs.  WOW!!!

Yep, this "more normal looking" pumpkin is even huge, weighing in at 285 Lbs.

It's a Pumpkin Tree

Even local pets get into the festivities

Where's Barnesville, Ohio?  Nestled in the forested landscape of Belmont County, far away from the noise, pollution, franticness and general tension of bigger cities.  My favorite part might just be driving through the landscape while we make our way to and from the festival...

Like taking a trip back in time.
